Occupational Therapists

 

Lolitta Atkinson

Senior OT - BSc (Occupational Therapy)

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Occupational Therapy from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Education from Edith Cowan University Lolitta worked initially as an educator in the primary school setting and then went on to lecture at both TAFE and Edith Cowan University. Lolitta was instrumental in the establishment of West Coast Occupational Therapy Services and is involved with all aspects of the business including: soft tissue therapy, paediatric occupational therapy and work place ergonomic assessments. She has extensive experience with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and enjoys working with people of all ages and all walks of life. She is married and has two children, both of which are heavily involved in sport. This continues to ignite Lolitta's interest in working with athletes and various sporting groups with treatment goals being to optimise performance and to treat and prevent injury. She also has a wide range of knowledge and experience in the area of work place ergonomics. This knowledge coupled with her knowledge of soft tissue rehabilitation enables Lolitta to promote worksite wellness in the Corporate Sector. Lolitta is also involved with the Child Care Industry being a director of Jellybeans Child Care and has recently become involved with the Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre

 

Tamaryn Harris - BSc (Occupational Therapy)

Tami graduated from Curtin University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in soft tissue OT since graduating and is now one of the directors at West Coast Therapy. Tami has been involved in developing the soft tissue unit for occupational therapy at Edith Cowan University and is currently lecturing and tutoring. Tami has been involved in Calisthenics for over 20 years and has coached at both state and national level. She enjoys working with soft tissue injuries and improving flexibility and muscle health in clients. She is passionate about maximising musculoskeletal health to maintain balance and quality of life.

 

 

Tiffany Chia - BSc (Occupational Therapy)

Tiffany Chia is an Occupational Therapist at West Coast OT Services, specialising in the treatment of neuromuscular conditions and injuries. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Curtin University of Technology, graduating in 2007, and her practice strongly reflects her passion for the field. Tiffany has worked with people of all backgrounds with a variety of soft issue dysfunction, including sporting groups (cyclists and rugby players), and corporate groups. Her focus of treatment is to improve neuromuscular symptoms, postural alignment, and body biomechanics, with long-term clinical results. Tiffany is a qualified and trained practitioner in conducting postural assessments, in addition to the provision of static hands-on treatment and experienced use of the Whole Body Vibration.

 

 

Jessica Pereira - BSc (Occupational Therapy)

Jessica Pereira holds a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) from Curtin University of Technology. She graduated in 2008 and has worked as an Occupational Therapist in hospital-based rehabilitation before joining the West Coast team in 2009. Jessica has had experience in various areas including hand therapy, paediatrics, disability sector and geriatric care. She treats a diverse range of clients from children to the elderly and prides herself on treating each client as an individual, respecting their varied needs.

 

 

 

Peppi Sharrin - BSc (Occupational Therapy)

Peppi graduated as a mature age student from Curtin University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and in 2006 completed an Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She has worked in the hospital setting with elderly clients since graduating 5 years ago. In 2007 Peppi commenced working at WCOTS and has thoroughly enjoyed the work.

 

 

 

Amanda Galeotti - BSc (Occupational Therapy)

Amanda graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 1999 and has worked in hospital, community and private practice settings. She began working for West Coast Occupational Therapy Services in June 2005 and works in the area of paediatrics and soft tissue therapy. With work and three children of her own she is kept very busy!

 

 

 

 

Paediatrics Speech Pathologist

Karen Boylen - BSc (Human Communication Science)

Karen graduated from Curtin University in 2000 and has been practicing Speech Pathology for seven years.  She has worked part time for West Coast Therapy for five years. The best part of being a Speech Pathologist for her is being involved in the lives of the families she treats and helping them maximise their communication.  She loves to make Speech fun!

 

 

 

Chiropractor

Colin Jones - BSc (Human Movement) Masters of Chiropractic


Colin graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1990 with a bachelor of science majoring in human movement, and in 1995 from Macquarie University with a masters of chiropractic. He has been in practice in chiropractic and soft tissue centres in Sydney and Perth. Colin’s continuing education interests have focused on functional rehabilitation, myofascial release techniques, golf-specific injury, preventative health strategies and nutrition.
