What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapists are health professionals who enable people to overcome limitations they may experience in their daily occupations.
Occupational Therapists working in the area of soft tissue treatment focus on the interrelationship between occupation and soft tissue function.
Occupational Therapists must complete a four-year Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, or a two-year Masters of Occupational Therapy, which includes 1,000 hours of practical experience. The State Registration Board governs the standards of Occupational Therapy Practice in WA.

What is Soft Tissue Therapy?
Soft tissue occupational therapy uses a variety of neuro-muscular techniques, and involves hands on treatment of muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia to reduce muscle tension and pain, restore normal movement patterns, and prevent further injury.
With a client-centred approach to treatment, our friendly staff can tailor a treatment program with your specific needs in mind.
As well as treatment of injury and improving muscle function and health, treatment aims at empowering the client through education so that they can make changes to their lifestyle and take control of their health and improve their quality of life.
The occupational therapists at West Coast OT Services use a variety of neuro-muscular techniques including myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Therapists also provide stretching and strengthening programs, rehabilitation services, workstation redesign and posture screens.
